Internships
Le Carrefour des savoirs relies on experiential learning to acquire cross-disciplinary skills. This is why the Carrefour favors internships. Internships enable you to explore useful skills, other than those acquired during your university studies, in order to establish a fulfilling career.

For graduate students seeking an internship to develop cross-disciplinary skills.
Starting in 2024, Carrefour des savoirs intends to increase the number of internship sites interested in hosting graduate students. This page of the website will be the showcase for new internship offers: stay tuned!
How to apply for an internship
Carrefour des savoirs works closely with the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQ-S) to encourage internships outside the academic environment. The program promoted is the FRQ-S’s Tremplin Scholarships. The Tremplin scholarship allows students to complete a 2- to 6-month (part-time) internship while receiving remuneration. There are several criteria that must be met in order to apply, including being enrolled in a doctoral or postdoctoral program.
If you are interested in pursuing such an internship, the Carrefour des savoirs team recommends that you follow these steps:
1- Carefully read the details of the Tremplin bursaries on the FRQ-Secteur santé website. The deadline for submitting your application is November 3, 2025.
2- If you have any questions about administrative aspects or the skills you need to develop or acquire, please contact the Carrefour des savoirs team at carrefour.ccsmtl@ssss.gouv.qc.ca .
3- The Carrefour des savoirs strongly encourages students to find their own internship placements. However, if you do not have easy access to such placements, you can consult an initial list of internship placements prepared by the FRQ-S. Finally, the Carrefour provides you with an expanded list of internship placements, which you will find in the Internship Offerings section below.
The Carrefour des savoirs has a mandate to assist students in their efforts to apply for Tremplin scholarships. At any time during the process, you are encouraged to contact the Carrefour team.
